About us KEY RESPONSIBILITIESJob SummaryUnder the general direction of the Rooms Division Manager or his / her delegate, and within the limits of established IHG and local Hotel policies and Procedures, responsible for the effective and efficient check-in and check-out of all Hotel guests, whilst dealing with guests’ complaints and questions. Your day to day Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Registers guests into the Hotel, ensuring all relevant details are obtained on the registration card while adhering to the Hotel’s credit policy and such details are recorded in the Hotel’s computer system.• Attends to guest queries and complaints in as far as he/she is capable, and then refers them to the Reception Manager or Duty Manager.• Controls daily departures allowing for smooth check-out for all departures according to Hotel and IHG standards and procedures.• Maintains control of guest room keys.• Maintains Reservations Office procedure when Reservations Office is closed.• Prints registration cards for same day reservations.• Maintains a cash float for use with guest payment of accounts and foreign currency exchange.• Makes sure all departures with account to company have supporting documents attached.• Solicits Guest Satisfaction Survey and pass them into the Guest Relations Manager or the Duty Manager.• Remains up to date with all rates, packages and promotions being offered by the Hotel.• Remains up to date with all Food and Beverage activities, theme evenings, entertainment and costs, opening times, and promotions for both the Hotel and IHG.• Reads and appropriately files all incoming memos, promotional materials and reports.• Promotes and maintains good public relations while endeavoring to maximize on occupancy and average room rate.• Serves as custodian of safety deposit boxes and assists guests accordingly as per safe boxes Policy and Procedure.• Remains aware of the Hotel’s budgeted occupancy and average room rate.• Offers luggage assistance upon check-out and requests guest comments, if any about their stay.• Maintains the reception logbook & Opera traces for detailed handover.• Assists Guest Relations colleagues and the Duty Manager in Escorts of all arrivals.• Actively contributes to the Hotel’s daily IA and up selling figures.• Night Shift Duties.• Balances all Opera Revenue reports with individual outlet reports.• Balances adjustment voucher (misc. charges, rebate credit…) with Opera reports.• Transfers all city ledger/cash/check out folios with supporting documents to accounts as per Opera reports.• Adjusts Micros billing on Opera (correction).• Prints all night audit as per list.• Performs system backup prior to release of the computer for next day’s transactions.• Distributes all night audit reports printer from Opera as per list to the respective pigeon.• Demonstrates understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety.• Performs related duties and other projects as assigned. What we need from you REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation:Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management.Skills:Fluent in Arabic and English.
